So you'll learn that I post whatever random shit I feel like. I'll also binge post or disappear for a while. That's just me.
I also keep my circle small. Mainly friends from the old days.
If you followed me, thanks. If I don't follow back, don't take it personally. This is how I social media 🤘
Hey @deesnider.bsky.social I found an old cassette case in my storage unit. The sticker was on my pos 73 Dart before that. Thanks to you, Frank Zappa, John Denver, and everyone else that fought for our rights back in the day 🤘

A mile longer than planned in #ChurchOfSundayDirtRun for 11 on the weekend. And actually 2 good runs.
I realized that I was pushing my weekday runs too much and scaled back. This was affecting the quality of the weekend miles which I feel are more important

Longest run in a while and with only a few walk breaks. It's taking longer than it has in the past but my legs are finally getting there. Almost 18 miles for the week

Body was feeling meh, so I called an audible and went for a short one. This breaks a string of pretty good runs. Oh well, better to be fresh for the weekend

2 miles on the dirt to close out April with just under 66 miles. Goal was 100k, so I'm quite happy

Running friends. I'm looking for some gel recommendations..
I have made my own for years, so I know exactly what I am getting, but it is such a chore.
I tried Maurten, but it's too expensive, I'm familiar with the spring controversy, and I have never met a GU flavor that I liked. TIA

Glad that I chose dirt instead of asphalt. That porta-potty at 3 for the new construction was much needed 💩
11 miles for the weekend and over 60 miles for the month with 2 running days left
April 27, 2025 at 8:25 PM
10k for today and 17 miles for the week. Mileage is up where I want it to be for the next 5 months. Now to work on getting faster
April 26, 2025 at 6:27 PM
Right from the first few steps, I knew that it was going to be a good run

(1/2) Horrible news - The govt reported that they mistakenly killed the collared + presumed pregnant breeding female of the Bear Canyon Mexican gray wolf pack in AZ. She was killed pursuant to a removal order issued by USFWS for an uncollared wolf from the pack. How could an error like this occur?

4 miles today in #ChurchOfSundayDirtRun to give me my first double-digit weekend in a while. It felt good to level up

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

Descent 10k today, even if it was more of a wog. Weather was perfect

This popped up on FB to remind me that once upon a time, I was actually fast. But back then, I was 25 pounds lighter, logging around 150 miles a month, and doing a shit ton of speedwork.
This getting old is getting old

Got in 2.2 miles today in #ChurchOfSundayRun. Legs aren't coming back like they had in the past, but it's part of getting older. I just have to keep pressing my way

Not a bad Saturday

I ran an 8:10 mile today. My best in a few weeks. Yay me

2.5 miles in #ChurchOfSundayRun. Nothing better than an easy morning run

I successfully managed to get up early and run 5 miles before going grocery shopping. Have to get ready for summer. Now, to do some yard work

It never fails. I scheduled a cutback week because I've been ramping up the miles for the last 6 weeks, and my body has been feeling it.
Of course the weather was perfect and I felt great. Still, I stuck to the plan and only did an easy 2. Rest day tomorrow instead of a run

Is it just me, or is the new spinning kudos thing on strava f**cking obnoxious?

A slog in #ChurchOfSundayRun with 2.2 miles today. I wanted to get to 60 miles in March, but I'll close it out just shy of 58. Still a big jump from February's 33.
My goal is to stay in the 60-70 mile range while increasing my pace over the next 6 months as it heats up in the valley of the sunburn

I didn't have a 2 gallon pressurized bottle of weed killer & blue dye exploding and making me look like half an oversized Smurf on my bingo card for today, but oh well. I needed a shower anyway
March 29, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Today's run put me at 50 miles for the month. Should I dare go for 60 with 2 running days left? I haven't gone over 35 since October.
Spoiler, you know that I will 🙄
