I applaud the GRDC for looking into the world of decision making- but feel like this is a missed opportunity. This does nothing to help growers make better decisions, except add more confusion.

I know how much of a fan you are of good and bad graphs @wheatwatcher.bsky.social and @meatwatcher.bsky.social

Can a graph have 3 vertical axis?

The Weekly Times now quoting the IPA in their articles. The lurch to the right from this paper over the past few years has been notable

I love reading about history but especially the history of the regions during settlement. This newsletter would have to be the best I have seen for a local area (my home). $20 a year and it’s never dull.

If I was a country singer, I would have a hit about how the simple things in life can really tough…

Hey @profgalloway.com after listening to your last podcast on addiction, I wanted to share this book I just read. It’s a real science backed illustration on dopamine and addiction. Well worth a read

Reading @casssunstein.bsky.social book ‘Decisions about Decisions’ and it’s these little snippets that are under appreciated. “Belief Utility” is a great way of describing how crazy the world seems at the moment

Reading these articles too often and not seeing enough action to be honest.

This is a really solid book which I’ll be reading more than once. If you are struggling to change habits or have family facing addiction problems, have a read 👍

Update on “Peewee”. He now lives outside and comes up to the house for a few a few times a day. Trying to reduce food slightly each day but he is persistent! Still not a best flyer but getting better. Magpies have been testing him out a bit!

The old man passed away 19 years ago and I’m still using his gear/tools to build Christmas presents for the grandkids he never met. Merry Christmas everyone and take the time to be grateful for everyone who is here to enjoy it with 👍
