November 2007, I threw a mods & rockers event in the LES for a bunch of my motorcycle friends. I hired three go-go dancers: one was a regular dancer over at a friend’s DJ night at Motor City. It turns out I hired Lady Gaga for $100 and an open bar tab.

Forget consumerism. The best Boxing Day is for cats sleeping in their favorite boxes.

My list of wants for a social media platform are pretty simple:

I want to be able to follow artists, photographers, scientists, researchers, *real* journalists (not pundits), and anyone else who I find interesting.

And I want to do that without them being censored or lost in waves of clickbait.
