In honor of Aunt Judy, who taught my kids and me lessons in compassion, optimism, and advance medical directives with no awareness that she had done so. Today, you finally won! Even better than a million dollars! 💜

Frank Gehry designed grand spaces for the most elevated human activities…music, art, commerce, research…without losing the intimacy and joy to delight children and foster human connection. RIP.

Walking through the foothills in yesterday’s downpour, avoiding small mudslides, left me cold, but grateful, remembering when I was evacuating my family from the fire that swept through these hills in a dry January that should have been wet, nine months ago.

Glad to spend an evening with friends, joining efforts to find treatments for cystic fibrosis. Everyone deserves to breathe, especially Heather, who gives so much to so many. Many happy returns, and good health in the year ahead, my friend.

There’s probably some line of poetry about moon reflection in a desert oasis, where opposites meet and double each other, but it escapes me. This is gorgeous, and should not be militarized by CBP and ICE. Three more gov’t vehicles followed me for about an hour.
