Your Alberta NDP MLA in Edmonton-Mill Woods. Official Opposition House Leader. For Alberta. For All of Us.
Recently revealed documents show UCP staff toured a potential Recovery Centre site, just before the man at the centre of the CorruptCare allegations bought the building. None of this was reviewed in the Wyant Report. 1/2 🧶 #ABLEG #ABPOLI #CorruptCare

Albertans have not seen a raise to the minimum wage in over 7 years. This is the longest stretch working Albertans have ever gone without a minimum wage hike.

During high inflation, this has put Alberta's lowest paid workers in crisis. It's time for the government to raise the minimum wage!

The Globe & Mail’s new report reveals Premier Smith met with individuals, who were later named in the CorruptCare scandal, while she was running to become UCP leader.

We continue to call for a full public inquiry into CorruptCare.

A few years ago the UCP took control of several major pension funds & forced them to let AIMCo control their investments. AIMCo then lost billions on what became known as the VOLTS scandal. 1/2🧶

The Premier’s job is NOT to trample on Alberta’s constitutionally protected human rights. Now, she makes herself the first Premier in our history to use the notwithstanding clause, not once, but FOUR TIMES in three weeks!

Whose freedoms will be stripped away next? #bill9 #abpoli #ableg

It's incredibly disappointing, but sadly not surprising, to see the UCP government has once again delayed their own carefully crafted report into the CorruptCare allegations plaguing their government.

Today, Albertans should be receiving Justice Wyant's delayed interim report into the UCP government's CorruptCare scandal.

Premier Smith and her UCP cabinet removed hundreds of thousands of government expense receipts from Government websites, as well as future receipt requirements, and this is unacceptable. 1/5🧵 Audio from CBC’s Edmonton AM

How many times will @pancholirakhi.bsky.social and I have to ask the Premier to fire the Justice Minister for failing to disclose his conflict of interest? Let's find out ⬇️

Mickey Amery is in a clear conflict of interest and that’s simply not acceptable.

Amery cannot be trusted to oversee government legal strategy or allocate taxpayer dollars in any investigation or lawsuit that could directly impact his own personal friend and family member.

Every hand I’ve shaken, hug I’ve received, community league I’ve visited, colour-changing pencil I’ve given, every Mill Woods Resource fair I’ve hosted, every concern my office has assisted with, and every door I’ve knocked has truly impacted me.

Most recently, I’ve had the honour of being appointed as the 38th Leader of the Official Opposition in Alberta’s history.

The best part of the role has been serving the people of Mill Woods.

On May 5th, 2015, I was elected by the people of Mill Woods to be their MLA.

Today I celebrate 10 years of service. I’ve been on 13 Legislative Committees, sponsored 14 bills, and have had 6 different roles as an MLA, including being Minister of Labour. 🧶

Bill 210 was a simple, no-cost way to make sure that when Albertans leave a tip, it actually goes to the workers who earned it—not owners or managers. 🧶1/6
