Toxic perfectionism is often a byproduct of high control religious environments and religious trauma. Never feeling good enough can have longterm impacts on our inner dialog and our self esteem.

Here is a list of symptoms of toxic perfectionism that I use to talk about this issue.

I stay in church ministry not because I agree with what they have become, but because I believe in what they are supposed to be. I am working to be part of the change to challenge systems, structures, and local practices that we may be places of wide welcomes and inclusive love for all.

Hosted a Religious Trauma Support Group tonight. I used the Power and Control wheel to help us process last night’s Trump speech and many of the actions of the last few weeks to see the abusive patterns of Christian Nationalism.

I hit a milestone tonight. I added my 50th plant to my collection. She is a pretty moth orchid that my hubby got me for Valentine’s Day.
