My war, you're one of them
You say that you're my friend
But you're one of them
Them, them, them, them, them
Yeah!

Oh, you're one of them
You're one of them
I can't believe you
You're one of them
And you're one of them
And you're one of them
One of them, them, them
Them, them, them, them,
My war!

This job runs you
This day kills you
This suit owns you
This man tells you
What to do

From 9 to 5
You're not, you're not alive

Pins and needles
All the time
Pins and needles
Toe the line

Pins and needles
You're not alive
Get in line to die

In his latest newsletter, @rushkoff.com provides a compelling argument for why our society is intentionally collapsing.

I've always loved Benny the Bull, but Sergio St. Carlos may be my new patron saint.

In Florida for a few days. Beautiful sunrise for the first day after the Rapture.

Reposting an essay I wrote back in March about resisting this administration, called “Salt and Burn the Bones."

"The wendigos want to keep you glued to your phone, doom scrolling, instead of getting outside and taking action."

New episode of Supercontext out about FLUORESCENT BLACK by MF Wilson, Nathan Fox, and Jeromy Cox. I talk a lot about growing up in Singapore and we go down rabbit holes about transhumanism and the history of HEAVY METAL magazine.

This Rolling Stone piece on the demise of narrative podcasts rang true with my experience in the industry. I got out in 2019 and the writing was in the wall then.

It’s a wonderful coincidence that I’m on vacation the same week that John Langan’s new story collection dropped. Not only that, but the folks at Lovecraft eZine interviewed him too. It’s @johnlangan.bsky.social week!

Played SWYVERS for the first time last night. Enjoyed pretending to be a Dickensian grave robber with an opium addiction. David Hoskins art is stunning.

I’ve yet to see a valid news report that’s actually analyzed her supposed declassified documents, but sure let’s believe Valentina Allegra de Fontaine over here. We’ll just ignore her history of openly supporting Putin and the war on Ukraine.

I saw Jon Spencer last night for the first time in 25 years. Unreal live performance. I don't know how he maintains such high energy for a full set.

Rushkoff's latest essay on AI is an excellent, three-dimensional look into the problems we're facing.

Upon my umpteenth rewatch of JAWS, I think it’s actually very similar to MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE in that both are a commentary on American culture and how poorly we respond to crisis in the face of our own self-interests. Especially relevant right now.

Today’s a good day for my ATTACK & DETHRONE GOD @ericafails.bsky.social shirt. Although it’s getting so threadbare it might be time for a replacement.

It’s been 2 years to the day since Diesel found us in Portland. It’s been 10 months since he died. I still think about him constantly. Looking into animal shelter volunteer opportunities to honor his life this summer.

My friend's kid drew these creatures. I believe they're something from Minecraft? Regardless, I dig their creepy style.
