I'm enjoying this talk by @lessig.bsky.social re how AI will impact the world and politics. Prof. Lessig builds on work by David Runciman that corporations are analog AIs showing that nonhuman actors can overtake human goals. Directives of AI can shape the world.

I'm generally not very vocal on politics, but I feel strongly (1) those who favor limited government must enforce limitations of the power of the President even when politically inconvenient; (2) only Congress makes law, which the President should enforce; (3) Presidents should not take emoluments.

I'm delighted to share that Ohio House legislators just passed Ohio's anti-SLAPP bill (allowing early dismissal of frivolous defamation claims). Thank you to all the state legislators who heard me out on the importance of safeguarding #FirstAmendment rights of survivors.

None of our works will endure endlessly, but somehow love feels like the most enduring and important thing that we can create in our short time on earth. Happy Thanksgiving.

I'd love to get back into writing poetry.

Reposting this because there is such a new influx. We should set intentions for use of the platform! Mine will be to connect with and speak to other professors with the hopes of contributing to cutting edge issues in the law and science.
This feels like a version of Twitter with nicer people. I'm probably going to stick with following law professors and technology news. What topics are you planning on following here? How are you planning to use this differently from your other platforms?
