The tears over John Laws are hard to accept when he spent so long gaslighting the nation.
The irony of his theme song lyrics ‘let me think more of my neighbour and a little less of me’ while he was a lead hand in engineering a medium famous for its bigotry, racism and division.

The Nationals are causing fractures in rural communities by spreading disinformation about renewables. The result is kids are getting bullied at school. The only benefactor is coal and gas.

The story that really annoyed me is the organiser of those rallies. A rich kid grandson of an American immigrant who owns a land banking property investment company, Peet. The business owns something like 48,000 properties and none are rented.

Did you know that a seriously wealthy immigrant family from the USA, the Lennon family, and in particular the grandson is behind the anti- immigration rallies?
Ironically the family business Peet owns something like 48,000 properties that they land bank and do not rent out.

The average Sydney rent just rose again to over $750/week. Some suburbs are seeing an 8% increase. That’s not sustainable.
Interest rates are stable. Yet the investors & real estate agents keep putting up rents to meet ‘market values’ & renters have no choice.

We have quite strict gun laws in Australia but the US NRA are very active here and trying to water down our laws. A few politicians are helping them there but the vast majority of Australians want stricter gun laws.

From the comfort of bed I notice spring has the Spotted Doves return to the perfect union of branches.
Last year, deeply invested, I watched their poor nest making attempts but they did hatch two young…until a Noisy Minor jettisoned them from the nest.
I’m not sure I can handle the 2025 sequel…

From the comfort of bed I notice spring has the Spotted Doves return to the perfect union of branches.
Last year, deeply invested, I watched their poor nest making attempts but they did hatch two young…until a Noisy Minor jettisoned them from the nest.
I’m not sure I can handle the 2025 sequel…

Australians don’t consume much from the USA in the way of fresh produce. Most US imports are processed which we probably should chop out of our diets.
I suspect Canadians finding alternative suppliers will find much fresher and better produce. Cheese that’s the right colour for a start.

Australians don’t consume much from the USA in the way of fresh produce. Most US imports are processed which we probably should chop out of our diets.

There are so many minority groups and people that Kirk deeply offended. He made their lives harder and put them at risk of violence or worse just from his ‘words’.
