This is bang on. I have noticed a decrease in student effort in #bced since the switch to standards-based grading.
Grading ONLY for mastery takes away an important tool for giving students feedback about their efforts. Standards-based grading goes too far. #grading #teachersoftiktok #education #principalsoftiktok #edleadership

Trump officials' showings at hearings today were disasters, but it doesn't make headlines bc the media's default assumption is that Rs are clownish rascals. But if Dems didn't know what was happening at their agencies or what habeas corpus is, it'd be front page news. This is a key media asymmetry.

I don't think it's fully appreciated just how much Trumpism is a celebration of ignorance. Trump not only never learns but proactively avoids it. It's a braindead movement from the top down.
