Good news. The modernist building once used as a studio by designer Bernat Klein has been saved for the nation after a coalition including the National Trust for Scotland bought it at auction for £279,000.

Restoration, which will see the building reopen as a studio, is estimated to cost £3m.

Last night my aunt, Sheila Begbie, was inducted into the Scottish football Hall of Fame. A trailblazer, a legend, a hero - she is also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

After I visited the San Siro to watch Milan some years ago, she said, 'Oh, I played there for Scotland once'.
