Curable romantic. Decayed prodigy. Aspiring nonentity.
Honestly can't understand why they're going after him for racism. His supporters have shown repeatedly that they could not care less.
Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

It was years ago.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not in a hurtful way.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not with intent.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not genuine abuse.

Why in the name of almighty fuck would the New Yorker even publish this?
According to polls, Nigel Farage—once nicknamed Mr. Brexit by his friend Donald Trump—is the most popular politician in the U.K., and his right-wing, anti-immigrant Reform Party has a good shot at jolting the country’s ruling duopoly off the rails.
Britain Is Manifesting Nigel Farage as Its Next Prime Minister
Donald Trump’s state visit only added to the seeming inevitability of the right-wing Reform Party.

Political violence – it's not what they do in America. I can name you seven high-profile American leaders who were assassinated, without stopping to think, and... slightly fewer from the entire rest of the world?
Friday Night Tequila Tweet: Fuck political violence. ALL of it. From the right or the left, it’s ALL wrong. It’s not what we do in America. We defeat speech we don’t like with other speech. Never with violence.

Melissa Hortman should be alive. Charlie Kirk should be alive. Fuck political violence.

Is it unfortunate? Yes. Should she have done it? No. Should she have resigned? I don’t know. Is it corruption? Absolutely not. Does it pale in comparison with the financial scandals of the previous government, many of which were the definition of corruption? Hmm times infinity.

Chelsea can get away with selling assets to themselves, while both they and Man City are yet to face any action over financial irregularities. Meanwhile, Palace could be denied the fruits of the greatest moment in their history. That's modern football, I guess.

Being shared by salivating Tory MPs who love a good rage farming story!

So, what’s going on here?

RIP Martyn Cornell, aka Zythophile @thezythophile.bsky.social, whose beer writing I have been reading for some years (and who was a valued contributor to a subeditors' FB group I'm in). He'll be missed. Tribute by Beervana.

I think RTD managed a bit more coherence the first time around than he has with these two seasons. If I'm spending a good chunk of my mental energy trying to understand why anything is happening, the emotions don't land as hard.
