Doran the Siege Tower was the card that got me into EDH - my favourite commander to this day, even with better options for Toughness creeping in recently! My early deck was obsessed with Voltronning him to an unorthodox shield-as-sword club.

Pantlaza got me aggressive, and Feather got me strategic!

When I was too young to properly grasp the game I started collecting for the cool art (7th) and was on and off until March of the Machines, when I found some fellow minds to play with! Now I play for an evening of fun every other week and have introduced it to many of my students as a hobby.

Due to a friend of mine naming his character Alex, we regularly sung "La la la! Alex and Milayou!" in shrill, pre-pubescent voices. Those were the days!

I always remember Dragon Warrior Monsters on the Game Boy for the line:

"La la la! Terry and Milayou!"

sung by an NPC in the bustling marketplace as the main character and his sister become more well known.
