I walked 26 miles around New York today, starting in Yonkers and ending at the Brooklyn Bridge. I’m really sore but had a great time!

We had a great keynote speech from North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong. He told me he would sign a bill to eliminate minimum parking requirements if that came to his desk. #yimbytown

Donated blood today. Just a few days ago they declared an emergency shortage of blood donations in the Twin Cities area, so donate if you can. It’s a small thing we can do on horrible days like today.

Out doorknocking on this miserably muggy day to help out @mollycoleman.bsky.social for city council! STP friends if you live in Ward 4 please vote for Molly this Tuesday, August 12. She is the strongest climate champion and the only candidate who supports the protected bike lane on Summit Avenue!

I loved this @WedgeLIVE podcast about reclaiming public land around Cedar Lake. I’m disappointed the park board chose not to put a walk path there; they really should!

Why is the Hiawatha trail closed around Cedar Riverside? How long?

For my neighbors in the west half of Marcy-Holmes and Nicollet Island/East Bank, we got redistricted! We're now in the same park district as Downtown, Elliot Park, Kenwood, Bryn Mawr, Lowry Hill, East Isles, the Wedge, Stevens Square, and parts of Whitter and North Loop

I think Naomi is absolutely correct that we've got a lot of great candidates, and "all these people are good in different ways" is a great problem to have. Overall I think Peter stands a notch above the rest, but I look forward to working with whoever wins.

I also greatly appreciated that Peter and Doron expressed explicit support for the TC Boulevard plan. Monica's statement is less committal. This statement is broad enough that it could refer to much weaker proposals

I'm looking forward to voting for Peter Wagenius in the #SD60 special election on Tuesday! He is one of the most effective champions in the whole state for climate action and for public transit in particular, and it would be incredibly valuable to have him in the senate.🧵
