Littlewoods, Air Raid Shelter, Edge Lane

The Secret, long abandoned, WWII Air Raid shelter, along side the Littlewoods building. I've shown the 280m (approx) bunker on a map, showing its location and entrances from 1940, along with Google Earth today

I remember Paul Sowan very well, he was a gentleman. Here is Paul with the Late Ian Scott and Steve Moran of the "Friends of Williamson's Tunnels" in Croatia back in 2000 I think it was 😊

There is a large carved Liver Bird that originated on the former 'Rathbone School' on @fowt.bsky.social Mason St site.

Also, this nice little Liver Bird, can still be seen on a small piece of window glass on St Lukes Church.

The Walton on the Hill Tunnels, 3 Tunnels between Walton & Kirkdale on the former Cheshire Lines Committee Railway (CLC). Also showing never completed tunnel sections, planned to provide additional capacity along side

An original, old metal "Cheshire Lines Committee" marker post, alongside the original Cheshire Lines Railway line (now #MerseyRail).
