One of my most anticipated reads for 2025:

Ghengis Khan and The Making of the Modern World by Jack Weatherford.

Weatherford highlights how Khan was both a ruthless, but also a visionary.

Have you read this one? What were your thoughts?

Viking History is one of my favorite historical periods.

The Wolf Age by Tore Skeie is a book I think anyone who loves Viking/Nordic history will love.

What Viking history books would you recommend?

The most recent Pod Save America episode that breaks down Biden pardoning his son details layers of feelings I believe we all share in regards to not so much the decision itself, but the reasoning and timing behind it.

Biden couldn’t have done this in a worse way, or at a worse time.

I don’t post this to be controversial, but I think more of this needs to be accepted within Democratic circles.

The willingness to not fully commit to blanket acceptance just for the sake of acceptance, while still offering a space of support and acknowledgment.

This type of bully politics being fleshed out by DT’s social media puppets who speak as if they have true authority is inflammatory beyond comprehension, and the sad part is the current power of the GOP leaves little to do about it.
