As much as Republicans and Right-Wing Christians pretend that they're all about protecting children and women, it's much - MUCH - more about making out that people they dislike are dangerous perverts.

And one of the first survivors to step forward to try to stop Epstein? A trans woman, who was promptly mocked and villified by the New York Post, New York Magazine, the courts and law enforcement.

What comes through in a lot of the emails is how much they hate - really hate - women and girls.

It's as if they hate the fact they're so enfeebled by their attraction to those they perceive to be cheap, dispensible totty, and project that hatred onto them.

I'd pieced bits and pieces together, but properly laying out how far-right christianity has its roots in racism and anti-civil-right movements, along with increasingly extreme patriarchal beliefs - and how much money and power is involved - was eye-opening.
