Expect lots of Canes and Villa chatter with a smidgen of my attempts to cook delicious things. Also Alaska pics.
can we just like let him rest lol we need him healthy. was a bit annoyed they didn't bench him after those hits in front of the goal when we were up a few goals

This feels like it could have been a long long run if given the chance. At the least hope it gets a deluxe hardcover or something, its been amazing. 2/2

i use castbox to listen to everything and then just do the OG Fans content via youtube if i'm able to have the phone stationary (since i usually like to listen while exercising OR while laying in bed at night w/o screens)

for me (a podcast listener but OG Fans subscriber for the bonus content) the issue I have with youtube for listening to the bonus content is you have to keep the screen on which means i can't really DO anything while listening to it. I get the challenge though with extra editing/etc so all good

Going to be interesting--I feel like its inevitable that they are going to dip in form at some point given how strong this run has been. No reason why other than law of large numbers. I am always a HUGE optimist (even in the lean years) but for some reason have a nagging doubt this year.

I will say--coaching during that time could have been a main issue. Muller hasnt gotten another chance to be a head coach anywhere which i think says something

I was THIS CLOSE to buying a Dalpe jersey. I was so high on him. Remember penciling him in as the 2C

I will say--that era of Canes still has an all time underrated favorite of mine in Patty Dwyer. He was such a good piece I wish he could have been on a good team.

When i think of boychuk i always remember how sure i was that Boychuk, Dalpe, Bowman, and Terry were going to lead the Canes to the playoffs lol.

He very much views cap space as the most precious commodity so he doesnt budge on the valuation of a player for any purpose. Makes for great roster building and consistent success, but ticks some folks off

Yep, he has doubled down in the area for sure which was suprising to me. He is all business and like pro sports in the Triangle, the PNW doesnt have another NBA team. It doesnt make business sense to move it. I AM a bit concerned how he views player contracts will work with NBA personalities vs NHL

Dundon is very vocal about wanting to get more into sports ownership. He wants MLB also, i dont think the location matters too much to him personally

I'd imagine/hope is similar for PDX

He's really impressed me how he bought into the Triangle area. He is very present even though he doesnt live locally
August 14, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Dundons group is shelling out 800M on their side but it is public/private. Think the city/county is like 200-400k? That said, Canes arena is a bit weird as they share it with NC State. Not sure how it will work with Moda as its a different set up.

I was originally worried he wanted to move the Canes to Houston (they were in a terrible place when he bought them and ripe for relocation) but he has doubled down there. I really dont know his plans for the Blazers but hope he does the same in terms of keeping them in town.
