My last set for October's #folderweek. Saturday was a dry day, so I went to nearby Duncan here on Vancouver Island. This place definitely has its little quirks. Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16 and Ilford HP5+ developed in D23.

On my way home from Victoria on the Friday of October's #folderweek, I stopped in Mill Bay to photograph this old wooden church. The rain had stopped, and the sun even made a brief appearance. Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16, Ilford HP5+ developed in D23.

October's #folderweek was a challenge, with mobility issues and lots of rain. I managed two outings with my Nettar 517/16, exposing just one roll of HP5+, dev in D23. On the Friday, I had an appointment in Victoria, so afterwards I went over to Fisherman's Wharf.

A brief pause on my way home from Victoria. The rain gave way to cloud, and even a little sun while I exposed a couple of frames on Ilford HP5+ with my Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16. #folderweek

My Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16 got a little wet. Not too much, just a little. Am I a bad person? Fisherman’s Wharf, Victoria BC. #folderweek

Enjoying a coffee and bagel at Imagine Studio Cafe in Victoria BC. Outside the rain is pouring down putting a damper on proceedings. #folderweek #zeissikon517/16 #ilfordhp5+

Revisiting some older photographs, this one from August 2013. This old tree is at the side of the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet, British Columbia. Fujifilm X-E1.

I bought a combined laser rangefinder and exposure meter. It is an L.D. Meter from CHI. Here it is on my Zeiss Ikon Nettar 517/16. The meter works well, but the red laser dot can be hard to see, especially in bright light. It may be out of place on a 70 approx. year-old camera. #folderweek

#FolderWeek starts in one week, on October 19. The idea is to shoot a folding camera for the eeek, sharing photos when you can. Remember, if it folds, it’s a folder. Please remember to use the hashtag. Also, please share photos of your folding camera out in the wild. #BelieveInFilm

Revisiting a subject after three years. Clean and tidy in '22, less so in '25. Then - Mamiya C330f with Ilford XP2 Super. Now - Nikon FE with Eastman XX 5222.

My last roll of ADOX Silvermax 100, which was discontinued in '21. I exposed a few frames at a time while it sat in my Pentax Spotmatic F for months. Finally finished the roll last weekend and developed it in ADOX FX-39 II.

Sharp focus is not always important. 1/30 sec at f2 and slightly shaky hands.

Tip of the day - switch off the news, remove click bait news apps from your phone, pick up a photo book , go out with a camera or make some prints (however you want to) in short your life will be happier and less stressful.

Scanning my old negs and slides, some dating back to the late 60s. It goes in fits and starts as the whim takes me. Once in a while, a photograph will grab my attention. Florence, Italy, 1979. Pentax Spotmatic. Kodak Ektachrome converted to B&W in Nik 8 Silver Efex. #believeinfilm #filmphotography

From my first roll of Kentmere 200 dev in ADOX FX39 II. I was going to use D23, but thought two firsts would not be a good idea. Camera: Mamiya C330f, 80mm f2.8. I will reserve my final opinion until I have used the film under various lighting conditions. OK so far. #believeinfilm #filmphotography

Visited Jack Point and Biggs Park near Nanaimo last Friday along with @drakedyck.bsky.social. It was a warm and largely cloudless day, so the light was very harsh. These photographs were taken with my Fuji X-Pro2. I also exposed a few 6 x 6 frames on Fomapan 100 film.
