Yeah that's the key to tech stuff these days. It's not actually about making something, it's about making money off an idea. Once that idea loses its shine even its biggest champions will be looking for the next profitable idea. They don't even believe in this stuff other than as a vehicle for VC.
I mean, they are singing from the same sheet of music in a way - shareholders. If the big whale shareholders have decided LLMs are over, CEOs will change their tune very quickly.
