Another rec: “The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage,” by Sydney Padua. Steampunk alt-history of if Babs had actually built the difference engine and Lovelace had lived past her 30s. A fascinating look at the beginning of CompSci and a surprisingly touching story of some math friends.

I subscribed to a comic book of the month club last year and they just keep delivering! My Mandarin isn’t nearly good enough, but that’s the beauty of comics — All the awesome illustrations!

What makes these leggings “gender neutral,” Wired? The fact that the women’s version costs $10 more?
