Tomorrow we have to try to find a tree, a bit late so hopefully everywhere won’t have ran out.
I’ve sources some alpha readers for the first draft of my second YA novella.
Now the hard part. Getting them to read it and getting them to give me feedback and then… accepting that feedback without feeling defensive of my book baby. 🤣

I need to sit down and continue working on my book. It's been a year since I've even looked at it so now, I have to read my own book... just to remember what the heck I was writing about.

The best part of writing a book is that you can write about whatever you want.
The worst part of writing a sequel is making sure it ties into the first book and stays true to the story.
The hardest part of all of this...? Marketing.

My friend passed away this year. I miss him. I wish I had taken the time to spend more time with him, to get to know him better.
My other friend died a few years ago. I miss her too.
I’m realising that either I’ll die soon or I’ll watch my friends die one by one. 😳

It’s the 18th of December and I don’t feel remotely excited for Christmas. I’ve watched the movies, I’ve listened to the music, decorated the tree… nothing. I even sniffed the tinsel ( don’t ask).
Now I have to figure out if I’m depressed or just tired. 🥺

My novella Emma’s Story is a slice-of-life fantasy tale about a young woman facing a big decision she’s not quite ready to make.
There’s also a bear, sleigh rides in the snow, and hot whiskey by the fireplace.
Just the thing for when the winter storm howls outside.
