- Cat Jumpscare Warning -
Fun fact: Opening a chest that was not properly initialized (no item was put inside) leads to a cat easter egg (13/13)

The Slingshot and Boomerang are also here
(Although the Boomerang was already present in Link's Awakening and the Slingshot is present in Oracle of Seasons) (12/13)

Bombchus (which are not present in Link's Awakening) are here!
They behave as you'd expect, crawling forward until they explode by themselves or hit a wall (11/13)

The Signs and NPCs were also programmed, and shops are built on top of those two systems!
(10/13)

The Ocarina songs are also visible in the inventory, and are playable!
(Although playing them doesn't affect anything in-game) (9/13)

The inventory - while a bit ugly - is fully functional!
Some items are shared by the same slot as a way to conserve screen space (8/13)

Walltulas are also here! And with them are 2D platformer sections! (originally from Link's Awakening)
The Walltulas spin around randomly and launch at you if you ever move in their line of sight, unless you stop moving fast enough
(Please excuse the ugly dev room...) (7/13)
March 21, 2025 at 12:07 AM
Skulltulas were also made from scratch!
They behave like they do in Ocarina of Time, requiring you to wait for them to spin around so you can hit them (6/13)
March 21, 2025 at 12:07 AM
The Deku-Baba was next!
Every sprite and behavioral pattern was made from scratch, as Deku-Babas are not present in Link's Awakening (5/13)

The Octorock was the first enemy I recreated as a test
Seems accurate to me! (4/13)

The overall feel of moving around the world was tailored to feel like it did in Link's Awakening
You can even see the previous "screen" unload while the camera pans like in Link's Awakening (3/13)
