This is unacceptable, and another reason why paint is not infrastructure

On Friday morning, just 12 hours after Oregon's U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden and a bipartisan group of 80+ lawmakers urged the House in a letter to do something, House leaders announced they would fast-track a vote on the Secure Rural Schools act. oregoncapitalchronicle.com/2025/12/05/f...

My constituent, Wilmer, was mauled by an ICE attack dog despite the fact that, as he has consistently explained, he was not resisting arrest or trying to flee—his wife and young children, all U.S. citizens, were forced to watch helplessly as Wilmer was violently attacked and dragged away.

When history looks back on today evangelical Christians will say that the Trump supporters weren’t real Christians. They’ll distance themselves. They’ll make apologies for what their denominations did. All the while continuing to cause harm in a different way.

My great grandmother painted for fun. I grew up with one of her paintings – a stand of pine trees weighted down with heavy snow. I’ve always loved that painting so I thought I would create my own version. I hope you enjoy the results!

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere.

It means more power for them and less freedom for you.
Netflix's $83 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery would mean more corporate consolidation.

Netflix, by far the #1 streamer, would take over HBO Max, the #3 streaming service.

This giant merger could violate antitrust law and hurt consumers.

raided his house without warning - nope

showed up fully armed and in FBI raid gear - nope

woke him up in the middle of the night - nope

None of those. He wasn’t even there. He’s suing for $230M.

What should she get for this?
