The Athletic have used Goldbridge as the headline, but the actual story is that Bundesliga matches will be available across free to air TV in the UK, including on the BBC.

Joe Root is now the second highest runscorer in Tests thanks to another flawless century.

He is the Peter Pan of cricket who just gets better and better.

He is now closing on Sachin Tendulkar - surpass him and the record will surely be his forever.

Qatar win the European Cup. An absurd sentence, but a farce of a match, that was an exhibition of superior power - in multiple senses

The record scoreline symbolised the scale of football's issues

You can be happy for Luis Enrique and concerned for this

While The Pitt is much more serialized than some of the other shows in the article, it's also doing 15 episodes. Poker Face this year jumped from 10 to 12. Longer seasons can be more uneven, but the payoff of the extra time with characters is enormous. Related:

The return of Poker Face and the recent brilliant run of The Pitt inspired me to celebrate TV shows that just want to be (great) TV shows:
Hospital Dramas! Crime Procedurals! Classic TV Is Back and Better Than Ever
Hit shows like 'The Pitt' and 'Poker Face' are a nod to broadcast dramas and procedurals of the past — and audiences are loving it.

"Andor" is about regular people rising up against an evil government, no Jedi-wielded weapons required. That's a first for live-action "Star Wars."

Four really great games. There’s a huge amount of negativity about the current era of football (in terms of off-field stuff, much of it justified) but the technical/tactical level of the top-level matches is outstanding.
