When I do my daily sketch, it's hardly ever enjoyable. But I started small, and now it's a habit. And those days when habit alone isn't enough, I look back at what I used to be proud of, see how much better my sketches are now, and I have just enough energy to put something on the page today.

Honestly, I didn't enjoy any part of art for a long, long time. I knew I had it in me to make art I enjoyed, but actually *doing* art was never fun. I still don't usually enjoy it.

But that feeling of looking back over a full sketchbook, seeing every improvement you've made? That's everything to me
