Over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in the last two years.

According to the UN, October was the deadliest month for settler violence since it started keeping track in 2006.

End the occupation.

Tax the polluters💰

Bring water under public ownership👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Bring British waters back up to standard🔨
Water companies have been paying out £billions to shareholders while Britain's rivers and waterways have been riddled with pollution.

And to rub it in, our bills have been hiked at the same time.

It's time to tax these polluters to clean up their mess.

When different pollsters show different results, it’s worth looking at the comparative dates when the polls were taken.

(Generally speaking, sample size makes little difference; you don’t taste soup by eating the whole pot.) 💚

Cop28 is a farce rigged to fail, but there are other ways we can try to save the planet | George Monbiot
Inaction and self-interest are built into climate summits. Instead, we need a voting system that can’t be subverted by fossil fuel producers, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Poverty affects almost a third of children in the UK.

Labour could choose to lift hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty immediately by fully scrapping the two-child benefit cap.

Remember: child poverty is a political choice.

The "hard choices" always fall on those that increasingly have little more to give. But it doesn't have to be like that; we can create a fair tax system – a hard choice that would truly benefit us all.
"It's a result of political choices. And we can make different political choices."

@zackpolanski.bsky.social on how the Green Party would fix our unfair tax system that taxes work more than wealth.

What’s the #OneGreenThing you do to make life a little greener?

It might not seem like much, but when shared and scaled by orders of magnitude, a small change can have a huge impact 💚

Rachel Reeves has stated that she wants to cut funding for the government's insulated homes programme, which in the long term would impact low-income households the hardest, not only leaving them with higher energy bills but colder homes as well.

The Chancellor must reconsider.

Rachel Reeves has a choice in her next budget. Tax already struggling working-class people even more, or tax those with the broadest shoulders that have seen their wealth dramatically increase in recent years.

Which one will she choose🤔

Since 2000, the world's richest 1% has captured 41% of all new wealth created, while the poorest half received just 1%.

We think it's clear for the world to see that trickle-down economics has failed. Only wealth redistribution will allow us to invest in a future that works for everyone.

Low-income areas in England and Wales face the worst air pollution in the country; experts have called this an environmental injustice. People in these areas are getting punished for being poor, but they're not the ones causing it, so why do they have to suffer the consequences?

The world's poorest people aren't the ones causing large-scale climate breakdown - so why are they expected to pay for it?

Myself and my fellow Green MPs have written to the PM ahead of COP30 urging him to #MakePollutersPay through a tax on the extraction of fossil fuels.
We must ensure polluters, not the poorest, pay for climate action.

Ahead of COP30, we have written to the Prime Minister, urging him to ensure that those most responsible bear the cost.

The government spends £2.7 BILLION a year on TAX BREAKS for oil and gas companies

Those companies pay billions to their shareholders

And then lay off their workers

Think that's unfair?

Tell Rachel Reeves to stop propping up oil and gas companies and back workers instead…
