Haha yeah, it made total sense, it was just me misreading like a fool

Huh, well I don't know why I convinced myself they called it soccer then. Maybe the version of the 3DS one I was sent to review was an American copy, idk. I was even talking about it with my American friends that I'd allow it to be 'soccer' in the new game when we played the demo.

Huh, did they always? I reviewed a few of the DS and a 3DS one for GameSpot and I could've sworn it was always soccer.

Especially in a book that contains The Long Walk, Roadworks and Running Man. It's meant to be a horrible, nihilistic, challenging collection of novellas. Rage fit perfectly in there. Without it, the collection feels incomplete.

I'm sure for every weird, incel school shooter who read it and got the wrong idea, there were 100 other people who read it and took away the correct message. Maybe even people who might've gone down that path, and then read the novella. I respect his decision but it makes me sad.

I have faith.

Fucking hell this might be the second best thing you've ever been responsible for ever.

This works way, way, way too well, to the point that I want to get into GZDoom and make a game purely suited to this theme.

How about an absolutely left-field crossover between Vampire Survivors and the hit horror point and click adventure game The Charnel House Trilogy. It would be funny because @commandersterling.bsky.social is in the game voicing a lovely neighbor in a cardigan, but it also has a human-sized grub.

I know there are impracticalities. I know it would need a revamp of the economy, and a lot of hard work. I don't care. This should be a global goal. I follow the teachings of Christ, who I know if he could see modern life would absolutely believe that every person deserves a baseline of help.

The thing is, we HAVE Right to Life laws, quite severe ones, but mysteriously they don't cover the individual right to have access to food, shelter and healthcare that they need in order to hold that right to life.

This will never be okay with me. Right to life means what it says on the tin.
November 14, 2025 at 1:39 PM
It's not the socialist healthcare/housing/food part that's the 'most woke' part here btw, it's the fact I believe it should be codified under international law, and be regarded as a serious human rights crime if any country does not meet this baseline.
November 14, 2025 at 1:34 PM
Yeah, and the woke part I guess is that I believe that this should be codified in international law. It should be a human rights crime to allow your citizens to suffer below a frankly very achievable baseline level.
November 14, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Any country who doesn't offer these things to their country-people should be considered to be punished under the UN for breaking international right-to-life law. I don't even think this is a woke opinion personally but apparently many do.

Also so hang on, is it Chronicle Mode you're playing? I didn't realize that was gonna actually have a story, I thought it was *just* matches! That's wild.

What if you sent me a key NOW and I gave a completely unbiased review and said it's amazing
