Last week, the Republicans in the Judicial Committee in the House of Representatives voted to allow the President to deport American citizens, which he has already done, but that would make it so much easier. I learned about this vote from Democrats who immediately began raising the alarm.

We have some Democrats that are getting more vocal and they are going out to the people even in places that are normally Republican domains and the people are hungry for answers and they want action. I have never seen so many people in the streets fighting for their rights and against the wrong.

My oldest son named him, and he grew into it. He has what we call the cat bird seat on the back of the couch. It is definitely his and our dog, Sunny, knows not to take it. They get along pretty well most of the time. John Luke likes to come running out of nowhere to bop Sunny on the head.

My family say I am the best pet picker. I see their energy, how they interact with other animals, and if there is something striking about their appearance and behavior. I have taken in rescue animals and I look at their eyes, and give them the love they need.

People need to remember the HIPAA law from 1996 which prevents just anyone from accessing our health records. I am a retired nurse and I know this law. If they try to access health records without the permission of the person involved, they will wind up in prison and pay a fine. People need to know.

I worked at a librarian's assistance all the way through high school, which meant I was the one teaching my peers the Dewey Decimal System. I worked my way through my first year of college as a librarian at the college library. I have a deep respect for what they have to do.

I grew up in a house full of women except for my dad. Even the dog was a girl. I understand what is difficult for a woman, but I am the mother to two young men, and believe me when I say that they have difficulties of their own. Not all men have the upper hand in every situation.

I used to belong to a writing group. We met every 2 weeks and each of us wrote something different. One of the folks in that class loved birds. She was writing a book about her experience on one of the islands in the Aleutian chain where they did bird watching of Asian birds that landed there.

You would be my youngest son's hero (he is 40). He is definitely a Star Wars fan. He has a design honoring Star Wars on one of his dress shirts. My oldest son (he will be 47 this month) is a Star Trek fan. We also love Stargate SG-1 and all of its spin offs. I have been taken to several Comi-cons.

Insurance companies are not in business to do any kindness to those who purchase it. It is for profit. Old people use more health care because as we age, all the small problems we may have had, get much larger and more expensive. I am thankful for Medicare although it only covers 80%.

Could their willingness to find immigrants and some American Citizens guilty without due process be because they want an all white country? Just asking for a friend.

I loved that movie! I remember following it in the cartoon strips in the newspaper before the movie came out. What a great movie and of course what a great cat. Reminds me of my cat John Luke.

You have more right than I do to be angry because you have fought for this country, but like you, I was so angry and ashamed with the way President Zelensky was treated by our President and Vice President. They have no shame. People like that will someday be the one seeking help and God help them.

Saying you are a Christian is easy and especially when you use Jesus as a shield that allows bad behavior. What Jesus said was pick up your cross and follow me, which means living as he lived and accepting and loving people as he found them. We are all sinners without exception, in need of grace.

We all need to remember the 1996 law- The health insurance portability and accountability act-HIPAA. It protects our health care information and as a retired nurse I can tell you that breaking this law can lead to prison time and a cash fine.

We must serve our billionaire overlords is what I hear when Mike Johnson talks. By the way, the republicans on the Judicial Committee voted in favor of allowing the President to deport U. S. citizens. It is pretty clear who the republican Congress serves and it is not the American people.
