The flavor of the pudding was great! I definitely had too much bread to pudding ratio! Though having the crispy bits meant that I was able to enjoy it because it wasn’t all pudding-y. The top still had flavor since I made sure to soak all the pieces. They just dried out while baking.

We’ve had this Charlie Brown tree for years. The last few years, the tape has worn out and the branches have been falling off. Today, I recovered all of the branches with fresh brown floral tape. Hopefully, this tree will keep going for a few more years.

I wasn’t going to bake today, but we have a lot of leftover rolls. This pile of cubes will become bread pudding for dessert tonight.

Other than all of the desserts being brown, I’m calling this year a success!
1. Cobbler was a tried and true recipe.
2. Pumpkin pie with whipping cream and whole milk and the addition of cardamom was a hit!

A few years ago, rather than bake a huge meal for just the three of us, we found a place that would deliver a fully cooked meal and then spent the day at LEGOLAND. To say thanks to all the people working, we handed out cookies! This is now an annual tradition. #cookieparty

My cheesecake is a bit of an experiment. I forgot I threw out all of our old and stale graham crackers and hadn’t replaced them yet. So I went for crustless. Due to that change, rather than having a layer of caramel between the crust and cake, I mixed in the little balls of caramel.

The pumpkin pie came out of the oven all puffed up. It’s since settled and looks amazing!

I’m excited about how these are looking! They did get an egg wash before going into the oven so they should brown up nicely!

I picked up a sourdough starter on my adventures today! I’m excited to have my own starter again. I’ll get her growing in the next few days.

Thank god I went running before opening Bluesky this morning! I was able to enjoy my 7km run. My training got a little mixed up due to a crazy week, but I’m back on track and ready for my long run tomorrow! 🏃♀️

One last baking project for the week! Tomorrow is my son’s birthday. While he hasn’t watched any Star Wars yet, he loves the rides at Hollywood Studios because they are in space and he loves anything space! He wanted a cookie cake with droids.

Cupcakes were last up on the baking list. I made chocolate and a winter citrus cupcakes. The winter citrus was a vanilla batter with orange juice and zest added in.
