Civil War era photo of my 2nd-great grandfather Joel Webber Wixson from Albion, Maine. His older brother Atwell Wixson died as a POW at the Confederate prison in Salisbury, N.C. Joel's mother died not long after learning of her eldest son's death and burial in a mass grave.
