Chicago Black Sky
@chicagoblacksky.bsky.social
Avid news reader who sees many overlooked Chicago stories affecting/about Black ppl. I saw a few #ChicagoBlackSky and #BlackSkyChicago but no account, so I opened one. Sharing news and politics I think should have 👀 on it. Moderator: shamontiel.bsky.social
I am starting to wonder about your reading comprehension skills. From YOUR OWN LINK ....

You sent a link that does not analyze demographics and are still ignoring grass being green. www.brookings.edu/articles/tru...

Do that nonsense with the uneducated voters who voted for him, not Black college-educated women who NEVER did.
November 10, 2025 at 12:46 PM
You just provided a link that backs up my point that nonvoters would have leaned on voting for Trump, ignored how majority of white people voted for him in the last three elections and don't appear to have read the article YOU linked. Keep this energy with Trump voters who are LARGELY white.
November 10, 2025 at 12:41 PM
You're making a lot of assumptions about whether people who did NOT vote wouldn't have voted for Trump anyway and ignoring who has REPEATEDLY voted for Trump in the last three elections.

I was wondering how long it would take before I started seeing yard signs for anybody but one candidate. I remembered @danielbiss.bsky.social website for bringing up passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the For the People Act. #chicagoblacksky #blacksky #midterms2026

I never post selfies on Bluesky (or the bird place) besides Xmas and Halloween. Love both! 🎃 👻 (Not as much as my favorite holiday, Veteran's Day, which is my birthday though.) #HappyHalloween Enjoy your inner kid today.

Side note: This tree and the teepee next to it is so dope to me.

I do not personally know one single solitary person in Chicago who enjoyed Rahm Emanuel as mayor. We need him to return about as much as we need rats running by Metra stops!

Chicago, toca el silbato como si acabaras de escuchar la canción de Too Short. ICE no es bienvenido aquí.

Chicago, Blow the Whistle like you just heard Too Short's song. Ice is NOT welcome here.

Let me make sure I got this right. Naked people on bikes (in Portland) are more threatening than an ICE officer twisting the nipples of a Chicago pastor and attacking peaceful protesters with pepper balls?

I hate that mass shootings are happening at all, but this is worth noting. Texas National Guard coming to Illinois is wild AF to me, considering these results. #blacksky

This is an extremely situation, and my heart goes out to the victims. But that mass shooting map made me wonder where Chicago was on the list versus other states, especially with the National Guard here. 🤨😑😤

Even though you realized it was September 10, 2025, there are classical events nonstop in downtown Chicago, usually in theaters. But you say that as though Trump has not been calling our city a shithole and terrible for years...while having the Trump Tower here. You called BS on absolutely nothing.

Ummm, Governor, now YOU KNOW what our stats are for Illinois governors. I cringe at this dare. I respect it, but we are dealing with an insecure and erratic nut job. Don't dare him. It's like daring a child not to touch any toys.

I understand the concern. When Trump was announced the winner, this massive group of tow trucks stormed through Rogers Park for several blocks, honking their horns. All white men. No explanation. It was extremely bizarre. I wrote to aldermen to find out what this was about.
