Hi! I'm a chest radiologist in Hungary with over ten years of teaching experience. My interests are lung cancer and interstitial lung disease imaging.
It is not often that I encounter such a massive #pneumonia that nicely outlines the fissures

On Saturday I'm giving a talk on atypical pneumonias at the National Korányi Institute of Pulmonology in Budapest. This is a a snapshot from part I about zoonotic and non zoonotic bacterial infections. It was a long journey compiling this talk, but it was worth it :)

Ribs I. and II. and fused on the right hand side to form a Y-shaped rib. This is a common normal variant at #chest #radiography

Goodbye Tromso, see you soon #ESTI. It was a wonderful winter course. See you all in Bergen, Norway in June, 2025

The #esti #wintercourse is already underway. In fact this is the last day. I'm going to miss frosty Tromsø, but it was a great experience!

Huge #lung #cancer in the right lower lobe causing extensive destruction of Th. IX.-XI. vertebral bodies. Also note the severe #emphysema

I'm preparing for a lecture I'm going to give next February. This article is a must read for all #radiologist, chest or general as well! You can find it in #Radiographics #RSNA

The title of these images should be...the missed lung nodule. As a peer-reviewer these are the type of lesions that I am on the lookout for #chest #radiology #peerreview #nodule #lungcancer

A 3 cm large tuberculoma that has been stable for years in a 50-year-old male. TB was once known as morbus Hungaricus for a reason :) #radiology #tuberculosis #chest #ct

Do you know what this device is on this #chest #x-ray?
Ask me, and I will let you know in case it does not come into your mind! #radiology

This is one of my duties as head of #chestradiology at a private #teleradiology firm. I second read chest #x-rays, and I prepare a monthly presentation highlighting all the problematic cases, but also suggesting ways to correct the radiology report

Interstitial lung abnormalities (seen here as subpleural retuculations) are a recently recognized type of #HRCT lesions which may or may not progress to #lung #fibrosis. In a case such as this a pulmonology consult and a follow-up CT is necessary. #dailydoseofchestradiology

I regularly do second reading of #chest #radiographs at my department. One of the most common recurring mistakes are missed #nodules in the upper thirds of the lung - sometimes up to 2cm in diameter. These do not nessearily represent #lung #cancer but who is to judge based on a plain film image?
