Vaccines are critical for protecting your health. COVID-19 myths vs. facts. myth: I don’t need to wear a mask if I’ll only be around a few other people. Fact: It only takes one other person to spread COVID-19! It’s important to mask when you’ll be around other people, even if it’s not a crowded space! COVID-19 myths vs. facts. myth: I don’t need to mask if I stay at least 6 feet from other people while I’m out. Fact: We now know that COVID-19 can spread through the air, even after other people have left the area. This is why it is important to mask and improve indoor ventilation when you can. COVID-19 myths vs. facts. myth: COVID-19 can only spread by people who have symptoms. Fact: COVID-19 can be contagious for days before symptoms begin. Many people who spread COVID-19 don’t know they are infected! This is why it’s important to mask any time you’ll be around others.
