Widening the berths was only part of the cost of the old plan. It also included earthquake resilience plus replacement for the already demolished Picton terminal. We will need to check if the new plan funds these.

It's unfortunate that the flyer doesn't seem to warn people that, if they use anything other than their pre-existing Metrocard, they would appear to miss out on their free transfer to another service. If you have a Metrocard, it is best to use it.

I've heard it said that one of the benefits of self driving cars is that you don't have to pay for parking. They just drive around waiting to be summoned back to collect you. Traffic will only get much worse.

With the Government now pushing to degrade bus services, I guess a higher proportion of these trips will be by taxi in the future. I wish this Government could see the value of busses.
