Look I’m not into the idea of just rebooting everything from the 80s and 90s but you can’t tell me this Three Men and a Baby wouldn’t be incredible.

I know some would consider this take borderline offensive, but Days of Thunder is so much better than Top Gun. I hate that it’s remembered as the lesser of Tony Scott and Cruise’s partnerships.

The Movie Grid is so much fun. I struggled so much with the sports ones but this has been a blast.

Growing up is rewatching Superbad and realizing that Michael Cera was always the funnier one.

Happy September, friends. I have prepared an exceptionally girthy end-of-summer newsletter in which I tell you about our big sale, some new releases, where to see me talking on your teevee, and skeletons, always skeletons: mailchi.mp/rob-sheridan...

My parents are in town and they brought me a crate of all my old tapes from when I was a kid. I didn’t realize how hard the Monsters Inc. clamshell went. This thing is a beauty.

Since becoming a dad at the end of last year, I feel like I’ve found a much deeper appreciation for good Movie Dads. And man, 2023 has been a GREAT year for Movie Dads.

In a post-Barbie world, there has to finally be a market for The Nice Guys 2, right? Like WB has to believe that could make money now, right?? It’s time for the return of Private Investigator Ken.

With the Haunted Mansion screening this week, it’s finally time to revisit…

I need someone to explain to me how Harrison Ford didn’t get a nomination for Shrinking. I cannot fathom voting on this last year of television and his performance not being one of the first things that comes to mind.

Trying to save what little life the VCR in my combo TV has left so I finally tracked down another player in good condition that I don’t mind wearing out (and tinkering with learning repairs). Had to add a little shelf but I’m digging my new VHS desk setup so far.

The greatest modern blockbuster turns 20 today. Two decades and no summer tentpole has been able to top what Gore Verbinski did with his crew of miscreants on the Black Pearl.

Everything needs to come out on DVD. Seriously, just offer print-on-demand for physical media.

Threads sounds like the most exhausting place on the internet and I’m not sure I could even handle it at this point. I’m fine with this weird little place, thanks.

Before last month I’d never seen Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It was the only one in the franchise I’d missed.

Now I’ve watched it 3 times in 10 days. To say I’ve found a new comfort movie is an understatement. Maybe it’s because I’m a new dad but this film brings me so much joy.

If the character of Indiana is retiring with Harrison, can we turn back the clock and spend some time with a young Henry Sr.? One movie wasn’t nearly enough.

The 4th of July is a holiday just for movie marathons. Stop shooting off fireworks and just project Days of Thunder into the sky.

1. Raiders
2. Last Crusade
3. Temple of Doom
4. Crystal Skull
5. Dial of Destiny

*each Indy movie is good and I like them all
**Crusade and Temple are VERY close

Finally caught Dial of Destiny. I enjoyed it a good bit and I adored the final act but I think it’s the weakest of the series. The whimsy and adventure that Spielberg brought just couldn’t be replicated, no matter how good Mangold is.

Still a fun and fitting end for Indy.

The PlutoTV 90s channel just went from Bogus Journey to Small Soldiers.

The dude we all voted for could actually fix this shit and he just chooses not to. Somehow this is making me angrier than anything else.
