🔶 Liberal Democrat candidate for Portsmouth South at the 2024 General Election 🔶

Worked in EU Parliament in 🇧🇪, now work in planning.

Assistant to a very spoilt cat.

Talks about housing, poverty and sustainability. Born at 366ppm.

Great to join Surfers Against Sewage in Bournemouth this weekend.

Our beaches are for everyone to enjoy, and our coastal environment is fragile. To keep people and wildlife safe, water companies must stop sewage dumping and clean up their mess.

Complete lie with a video from 2015. What a charlatan.

He will fan the flames of thuggery and disorder with lies, only to then sit back and say "I told you so" when something horrid happens. Patriotism is alien to him.

Labour's position is that the UK will recognise Palestine, but only as a punishment for Israel.

This is so strange. Why does Palestine only deserve state recognition if Palestinians are so cruelly mistreated?

A brilliant showing by team GBR at home in Portsmouth. They absolutely dominated the first day of racing, secured their place in the final, and went on to push the Kiwis hard for the trophy.

Proud of my city and my team today. Well done Portsmouth and team GBR.

So proud to share our city with UK Pride this weekend, and to march with so many friends, colleagues and allies.

Pride and community are so important in the face of an increasingly challenging political environment.

LGBT+ people are welcome here and free to be who we are.

This week is the first of Pride 2025. This year is no celebration. The rights of LGBT+ people are under sustained attack, most worringly from a Labour government.

LGBT+ people in our community do not feel safe in their ordinary lives. They feel things are getting more dangerous.

Great May Fayre in Fratton over the bank holiday. Really pleased to be running our 'Hands off Portsmouth' campaign from the @portsmouthld.bsky.social stall. People in Portsmouth don't want to be forced into public service cuts and higher taxes by the government.

Listen when someone tells you what they are.

A long bank holiday weekend wouldn't be complete without another look at our fabulous sea defences along Southsea seafront. Got a nosey peek at the next bit too!

I'm deeply concerned by reports that changes at the Spring Statement will push 50,000 children into poverty.

It also comes with higher taxes for GPs, care homes and hospices too.

This is a huge disappointment to so many people who believed Labour's promise of change last July.

Tried climbing for the first time today in Fareham. Great fun, but I have to say my arms are exhausted!

Not sure the footwear suits me...

Delighted that the Liberal Democrats have once again committed themselves to trans rights and healthcare. Some powerful and moving speeches from members across the LGBT+ community.

Proud to call this democratic, progressive party my home.

I am deeply concerned by Labour's proposed £6 billion cut to support for disabled people.

We should all feel comfortable in the knowledge that if we are ever too unwell to work, there will be help for us. This is a fundamental erosion of that safety net.

My humble offering for pancake day. Never mind the big split in the middle!

Principled and respectful resignation letter from Anneliese Dodds. She is right that the UK's reputation and influence will be harmed to Russia and China's delight. This is a withdrawal, and one which will take food and healthcare from people who need it most.

What a bombshell. Far from all these additional appointments Labour claim to have created, our primary healthcare system is in crisis.

A record 20 million people waited four weeks or more to see a GP last year - a staggering 60% increase since 2018.

Long waits mean worse patient outcomes.

Great to be out in Barnstaple with County Councillor Caroline Leaver today.

People here really know the hard work Lib Dem councillors and MPs get done 💪🔶

A bit of rain won't stop us 💪

Great morning out on the doors in Fratton and a really good reception on the doorstep. Six months in, plenty of people are feeling let down by Labour.

FANTASTIC week for the pro-European cause 🇪🇺

🛃 The bill to support an EU youth mobility scheme PASSES in the House of Commons.

🔶 Now, Lib Dem leader Ed Davey rightly calls for an EU-UK customs union to protect us from Trump's 🇺🇸 tariffs.

I always think back to this photo I took in 🇧🇪 in 2019...

Great to be back out on the doorsteps for the first time in 2025, this time helping colleagues in East Hampshire

Please note collection days are still catching up from Christmas and New Year. The days for the coming week are below.

I've posted all those dates online here:

For my local followers - if you had a real Christmas tree this year you can get it collected for FREE by the council.

Just pop it outside with the bins.

The collection team will note the location when they take the rubbish, and a separate team should be back on the next working day for the tree.

Here it hides on Samsung. Buried within "Accessibility" and "Installed Apps", I had no idea it was there

I wonder what those 9,000 women in Portsmouth are thinking today? Promises made and promises broken by their Labour MP.
