Not even a smug snake with a crown and two staffs complete with two extra, smaller snakes.
May be a smug woman without crowns or staffs, lacking even small snakes. Have dogs and opinions, which seems less cool.
She’s probably tired of being the one that stayed at home at kept house while they went and had adventures- in the magical world thru the portal. Like she literally had to make dinner for everyone while they fucked off and did fun things. No wonder jazz and nylons blew her mind.

By the Susan went to hell for growing up bit I was like ’good for her- get some soldiers and lippy, your heaven seems boring and also full of people who tell off small girls for climbing trees’.

As a small child the presents incensed me so much I hate read the rest of the series. I was smugly angry when the best part of it - a magical giant lion that you could both cuddle and ride- turned out to obviously be jesus.

Eggs in any type of curry is the best thing. My local Nepalese curry house has a dish where they deep fry the eggs first- amazing. I also miss a South Indian egg curry from a place we moved away from. I love British style curry but South Indian food is special.

I think it makes sense for someone who needs a reliable car for work/ family and who doesn’t have the time/ knowledge to maintain car. it also means you can spread the risk of breakdown etc?

lots of men enjoy war- you can’t pretend it’s all forced. Also pre modern war was different and in different cultures war would have been different too- from sheild walls/ cavalry to ‘flower wars’ to essentially a lot of individual duels. but There is joy in fighting and killing for some.

some of the burials without heads presumable will be beheaded after death for skull based decoration. Can’t think of a better word, but i mean like people putting skulls on sticks to warn people about boundaries/ those pile skull piles in South America etc…

And the crucial thing to understand about the 16 per cent of pensioners in poverty is that the reason why they are in poverty is not because 'they are pensioners' but because of inadequate provision for 'the working poor', regardless of age.

The modal British voter thinks that pensioners are the group who gets the least good deal from the state! You can't have a serious conversation either about shrinking the state or expanding the tax base from that starting point!
