I would pay good money to see Joe Root batting on the Iceland team's pitch.
A lot of great players are yet to score a ton in Iceland. It is the final batting frontier. Can you score a century on a lava bedded wicket?

This!
Just couldn’t be happier for Joe and his family. Good things do happen to good people #TheAshes

About 89/90 I 'captained' him in a six a side tournament on the Oval.
I took one wicket.
Alec Stewart. c. Thorpe, b. Spencer.
Though I had used four different balls in one 8 ball over as 3 went down the Harleyford Road. Must have been carnage for drivers out there!

Hi Charlie, @charliecochrane.bsky.social
I felt the need to share with you.

The successful bidder of the book that you donated to 'Children in Read 2025' bid £100.
He messaged to say that he felt it wasn't enough so he doubled it.

the world of brands craves powerful, authentic, memorable and accurate advocacy like this. yet the means stares them right in the face: make a tote bag with your logo on it being held by a mouse riding a lobster
Strongly recommend ordering merch from MERL. Its high quality and it will make you highly desirable to your preferred genders and also command the loyalty of farm animals
It's a beautiful day. We just dropped new merch for the first time in a year.

Oh, you know how to put the boot in!
If SA's first innings versus India lasts just 10 more overs, it will have persisted for the same number of overs (140) as the entire 1st Ashes Test in Perth.
November 24, 2025 at 11:38 AM
This!
If you treat a five day Test as a five-day match, you greatly diminish your likelihood of defeat.

One of the many events that affected Mr C when he used to travel for work.
It's Ashes week and who can forget when our volcanic ash from Eyjafjallajökull brought European airspace to a total halt in 2010? For a time, we had the world's most talked about new export industry.

If you're local, these talks are always worth attending. Good biscuits, too.
If you're interested in the history of the New Forest's WW2 airfields, I will be giving talks on Wednesday evenings in the first quarter of 2026 at Brockenhurst Village Hall - Jan is RAF Beaulieu, Feb is RAF Lymington, March is RAF Needs Oar Point. 🧵 1/2
