Accounts of resistance are invaluable
this has intuitively seemed like the only viable approach since the administration began attacking institutions they don't like, so it's useful indeed to have that fact confirmed by a detailed study of resistance to governmental overreach via a study of HUAC. fantastic work by @noupside.bsky.social.

An LLM does not make coding *easy*. It accelerates you (dramatically), but the cognitive load (in my experience so far) is just as intense as it ever was.

I’ve seen a couple stories along these lines and they have the ring of truth to me. I am disinterested in supporting the Democrats until they fix this. newrepublic.com/article/1891...

Musk and others helped the GOP run rings around Democrats in the info wars. I asked three leading contenders for party chair how they’d fix this.

The much needed response to the unitary executive theory.
Hoo boy. New article says lower courts are obliged not to follow SCOTUS precedents that are “demonstrably erroneous and conflict with positive law, especially the Constitution which is the nation's supreme, paramount, and fundamental law.” papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

This is a seriously freaking deep cut in retrospect. I suspect I have stumped 99% of you. And yes, my first album I paid for with my own money.

This AM I got up and the first thing I did was doomscroll. Regardless of the merits of staying informed, this can't be good and I am going to stop. It starts with removing the smart phone from the sleeping area.

I just deleted 350 Google contacts as part of re-orienting my digital life.

This was hard and emotional, recalling once-passionate parts of my life I don't expect to ever revisit. All too many who have passed on, as well.

But I have new challenges, friends, and horizons.

I'm starting to exit Facebook.

One thought I'm having: going back to email, A LOT. Cleaning up all my old addresses. Trying to figure out a sustainable strategy for elevating high priority conversations. Etc.

Anyone else have similar thoughts?
