I know there's a lot going on right now and this is a small thing, but can we please scrub "trade barbs" as an idiom from all future political news coverage?
Or alternatively, we start applying it to all high-profile white-knuckle conflicts, e.g. "Kendrick and Drake traded barbs"

This seems right to me. In addition to being both terrible and ill-conceived policy, the Vought threat was probably a really bad political miscalculation.

I recently turned off my watch history on YouTube to see what the algo suggests without the benefit of knowing what I've watched previously. Here's the top of the "recommended" sidebar as I was watching a video on buddhism today.
I know it's hard to tell, but see if you can spot the outlier!

🧵Thought this chart might be useful today: it compares states' House delegations to their presidential vote in terms of proportionality. Red bars are states that have more R House members than they "should" based on how the state voted for prez; blue bars, more Democrats.
