I’ve always enjoyed reading authors who come from different perspectives than my own. Sylvie Honigman is one scholar I’ve found really interesting and stimulating lately. I love scholar shelfies too, and have a lot of the same books on my shelf as she does! 😁

I often say that you can only really understand what conservatives want to do to history education if you realize that while it's couched as a debate about "what really happened" - bc conservatives know that's the coin of the historiographical realm - it isn't at all
