He’s a complete idiot. That letter he sent to the FCA is ridiculous. If he’d taken legal advice he’d have been told that the government and its ministers cannot commit market abuse through transactions, order or behaviour in pursuit of monetary, exchange rate or public debt management policy.

This is pathetic. There have been plenty of good reasons for Davie to resign. This is not one of them.
