Retiree. My cats run my life. They could do a better job of it, but they're cats. 😸 Also a long-time Detroit Lions fan. I don't blame my cats for that. Hello to any #UglyDogs from the old place. I'm not here to see how many followers I can get.
Reminds me of Pogo

And then, about twenty years later, there's this guy. He had a nice kitty, though.

What's funny to me about the Ozymandias thing is that my first exposure to that poem was in an issue of The Avengers from a thousand years ago, back when Ultron was a robot who could get his butt (and his disembodied head) kicked.

Share an awesome 70s movie!

One last one, which, a long with Slap Shot, is one of my two favorite sports movies. Well, three, with Bull Durham, but that's not a 70s movie.

It's loosely based on the 1970s Dallas Cowboys.

Share an awesome 70s movie!

I mean, c'mon. I could do this all day.

Share an awesome 70s movie!

(Honestly, that decade is packed full of awesome movies, so here's a different kind of awesome.)

I know that it's Halloween but this unsolicited text is a cruel damn prank.

I welcome almost any candy, including most of those listed here, but I'm not a fan of candy that's hot or way too sour. A little sour, like lemon drops or SweeTarts, I like.

Happy #NationalBlackCatDay from my Cleo, who thinks, perhaps correctly, that she is my supervisor. She knows two words: her name and "Smoochies", which is when she bumps her nose against mine. She's pretty insistent on doing that several times a day.

I think that if Marie Antoinette was alive today, her jet plane would drop cake on people. Almost makes me yearn for the French Aristocracy.

Poor Marie:

Oh, my, I was awfully close to quote tweeting an administration idiot for mocking purposes before I realized how pointless that was.

Instead, this is one my cats, Duckie, who's peeking out from under a blanket we were sharing.

Meanwhile, at the old place, the robot in chief thinks that Justin Fields is the Lions QB. (Sorry about ALT, couldn't get text to copy.)

I just looked at a Detroit Free Press article about Tigers uniforms through the years and I didn't see any with the Tiger in the D. I'm glad to be wrong on that.

Not sure why there's a video symbol.

😄 Hey, I don't need the NYT news quiz. One caution - when I used the "share" function to copy the link, it cheated me and that I had 8 correct. Au contraire, mon ami!

It's a nice mix of story references. Heck, there's a question about Fat Bear Week!

Post a team you would send instead of Bongino and Patel.

Aw, my old dog Boomer (RIP) looked a lot like this pup.

Post a comic you love - a top-5er for you.

Howard the Duck 16, 1977, an issue that was filled with illustrated text pages. Steve Gerber at his Steve Gerber-ist.

Rozema and Gibson married sisters in a double wedding ceremony!

Oh, and that bobblehead?

I guess that I had A&W on my mind at lunch time, and I drove the 15 miles and back to get a chili cheese dog, fries, and a root beer float.

Been a long time since I had a root beer float. It was good! It was a lot better than I remember!

I'm taking mine literally and I absolutely reject that it's a metaphor.

Haha!

It was spam, wanting me to fill out a customer satisfaction survey. I'd get a free OralB toothbrush!

I'm not a direct customer, but I think they own my prescription coverage provider, which sucks. I'd probably be better off with GoodRx.

The funniest thing about it is that the very first word is "Summary".

The second funniest thing, to me, was this:
