It’s Not Easy Being Green

Recovering nurse, future novelist. Following me does not mean I will automatically follow you. If I follow you, it does not mean I expect you to follow me back. You do you and I’ll do me.
I began collecting them one by one as a young teen in the late 70’s. At some point I got the bright idea of finding the complete list of titles from, IIRC, the library of Congress so OCD me would know when I finally had them all and I think I do - 57 in all. Jean Harlow was my first.

I cannot tell you how rare that is - you are very lucky. I have a feeling the house was a "newlywed purchase", as Caroline Freeland married George Hardy in April of the same year (I couldn't resist taking a peek) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interna...

Great thread - and as a footnote: Jean Harlow wore the same dressing gown in Personal Property (1937).

This is the second CBS piece I have read in the past week with a spelling error (unwamted?) and I am left wondering if they have fired all their copyeditors.

Love this film - so much that I have an original one-sheet poster hanging in our house.

An insta reel purportedly about a Russian city (didn’t google - you can if you want) inspired the comment below. Not sure which is sadder and funnier: the shockingly racist AND stupid declaration itself, or the fact that 7 people liked it. Either fellow racists or Hoosier state haters, I guess. #

Such a fun film! I’ve had a giant gorgeous framed print of the Italian poster for this film on my living room wall for years. For years my FedEx guy in West Hollywood would always make me promise to give him first dibs on it before handing over my delivery.

I am a big fan (saw SIL live!) but I am beginning to see this everywhere and someone, (lookin’ at you, Barb) needs to put a stop to this linguistic madness. It’s not “phase”. I know that given the world is on fire right now stuff like this shouldn’t matter, but we need to find comfort where we can.
