In the US, a few municipalities have lowered the voting age to 16 for some of their local elections. Bolts reported in April on how Newark was allowing 16- and 17-year olds to vote in school board elections, a reform inspired by teenage activists.

Dem party elites seem to be settling on a MAGA-lite narrative to explain the current crisis: "woke" went too far, borders got too porous and coastal elites lost touch with the heartland.
