I just finished "Rin" from Harold Sakuishi for the third of fourth time. I sincerely hope that I have it in me to create something that touches people the way Sakushis works touch me.

"Heldenlied" currently sits at 335 pages in thumbails, I got myself some tech to learn the digital way and try to improve my drawing game.
It's ongoing and I hope it keeps that way. This time, I really wanna finish this.

Of course I did not keep up with that pace. Chapter 6 took me 7 month on and Off to complete and I did many revisions on the first 5 chapters and kept working on the outline. But after February, I decided to take "Heldenlied" serious again.

Crazy enough, I thumbailed another 20-odd pages for chapter 1 and started to write a new outline.
While I stopped with the thumbnails rather quickly, I could not stop thinking about the outline and retooled a lot of the old stuff, bringing it from 7 to 27 pages and not being done.

In June 2022 I stayed up late one night, as one does. And for some reason I decided to redo the thumbnails for the prologue of "Heldenlied". And I had fun with it. And I liked the outcome. Wtf...!

There are still some pages and panels I really like but the tonality is all over the place, the lettering is one step away from comic sans, the anatomy is just off enough to be distracting. Also, by now we've reached 2010. A snail would outpace me. 🧵 7/
