(honestly, for being low-poly character models that you aren't even supposed to be looking directly at 'cause you should be focused on the road, these aren't half-bad)

You KNOW Gran Turismo 6 has some easy License Tests if someone like ME can get all Gold with little effort

CAPTCHAs will ask you to select every square that has an image of a dog and then somehow penalize you because you didn't select the bottom-center square (not that a CAPTCHA would ever have the decency to TELL you why your choices were wrong, of course 🙄)

Looking back at Final Fantasy X, I like that it establishes VERY early that Wakka's faith was always a bit shaky, despite how devout a follower of Yevon he tends to be.
That doesn't excuse/justify his behaviors later in the game, of course, but it shows he begrudgingly does what he does at times.

I appreciate the images being saved at 1080p despite my display being limited to 720p (again, for the sake of the frame rate).

You would think I'd have more nostalgia for the original Spyro The Dragon, as the demo was my introduction to PlayStation. As it turns out--not really. That's not a slight against the game, either. It's still my second favorite of the trilogy (2 takes the #1 spot, Year Of The Dragon at #3).

You would think I'd have more nostalgia for the original Spyro The Dragon, as the demo was my introduction to PlayStation. As it turns out--not really. That's not a slight against the game, either. It's still my second favorite of the trilogy (2 takes the #1 spot, Year Of The Dragon at #3).
I've always found the PS2's Screen Size settings odd. They don't stretch/squash the picture in any way, but rather add/remove fake letterboxing and shift the UI elements a bit in the console's menus. On top of that, games that support widescreen will already have their own in-game settings for that.

A five-lap, ten-minute race around the Test Course had me on the edge of my seat as it turned into a duel between myself and my nearest opponent--repeatedly circling and slipstreaming past each other--while the other racers were about 25 seconds behind

Man, I bet losing a lead in a racing sim has gotta be one of the most frustrating things ever. Spending several laps trying to catch up with an opponent who's "right in front of you" but they always seem to inch a little further away by the minute, no matter how well you drive. I guess that's on me.

Yeah, I admit it's quite the pain on my thumb after all these years. Some standards need to change, so I'm switching things up a bit. I genuinely appreciate it when console games let me FULLY remap controls--I don't see that often.

Didn't expect a 24-year-old racing sim of all things to be what would rekindle my love for gaming, but here I am.
(also here's a couple of shots from the Tahiti Circuit--I was so proud of myself for absolutely devastating my opponent, I saved the replay and recorded it lol)
