Times have changes and we as humans have much better understanding of ourselves and our environment, and referencing laws from a book written thousands of years ago and edited numerous times by people with different opinions and beliefs should not be the basis for modern day

Then why do Christians constantly use Old Testament scripture as references then? If they were only for Jewish people why are they still following the laws and teachings in the Old Testament and not strictly Jesus and the New Testament?

So if people use the verse within this book to say that homosexuality is wrong then why don’t ppl follow these other laws since they’re all together in this section? Doesn’t that seem hypocritical?

God also said to not eat shellfish or wear clothes of mixed fabrics yet here we are. Also god has more pressing issues to address than two ppl of the same gender marrying each other, like war, famine, diseases, violence, etc.

Why do yall try to ban other ppls marriages based on your own personal beliefs? If you don’t like gay marriage that’s your business but pushing for laws to make it illegal and henceforth pushing your beliefs onto others is wrong
