Your brain answers the questions you give it.

Ask, 'Why is this so hard?' and it’ll agree.

Ask, 'How can I figure this out?' and it’ll find an answer.

The choice is yours.

“Likes are useless” wrong. They let me know someone saw my post, valued it, and wanted to leave a small token of appreciation.

Bluesky is like writing in your favorite notebook.

Just a way to express yourself, freely and without judgment.

You don’t have to impress anyone, you can just be.

I forgot what that felt like.

to all #indiemakers

Step away from the computer and go outside once in a while.

Your mind and body will thank you.

Trying to balance building a product, marketing it, and having a life outside of work is not always easy 😅

Any fellow indie makers feeling the same way?

With every scroll, you see something positive, something inspiring, something actually valuable.

As an indie maker, it's awesome seeing other people's progress.

As a dev and designer, I'm loving the inspiration.

Bluesky, you're doing something right

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate the genuine connections I've made on Bluesky.

It's such a refreshing change from the other platforms.

Here, it feels like people are actually reading and engaging in real conversations.

Just got followed by the co-founder of Cal.com (@peer.bsky.social)

This is the power of Bluesky

Not saying I don't write great things, but :D

Who are the most unexpected follows you've gotten on Bluesky?

Your authenticity is your brand strategy.

Your creativity is your marketing.

Forget the gurus and the guides.

You possess all you need.

Bluesky feel like a digital campfire.

Everyone gathered around, sharing stories and ideas.

No bots, no fake accounts.

What are some of your favorite things about Bluesky?

This platform is built on sharing.

Bluesky doesn't have an algorithm.

That means likes and replies don't affect who sees your posts.

The only way to get seen by more people is to get reposted.

Sharing is caring, right?

Sometimes I post something random about my process and think, ‘Is this too small to share?’

Then someone comments, ‘I needed this.’

Turns out, nothing is too small if it helps someone else.

It feels like these are new roles for social media:

Bluesky = conversations and community

𝕏 = broadcasts and drama

One feels good for the soul, the other… not so much.

As indie makers, doing everything isn’t the goal – doing the right things is.

One well-placed effort is worth a thousand random ones.

Ask yourself: Does this action align with your goals, your purpose, and your audience?

And I promise, you’ll go further with less.

The Bluesky starter packs are out of control 😂

‘Indie Makers’
‘First-Time Indie Makers’
‘Indie Makers Newcomers’
‘Indie Makers Deluxe Edition’
‘Indie Makers Part 10’

But I’ll happily join a few more. Starter pack collecting is my new hobby.

Do you ever wonder if what you’re building even matters?

One day people love it, the next day they don’t care.

To me, it’s not about being noticed by everyone. It’s about making a difference to someone.

Bluesky gave me hope that we can build an ecosystem that’s not about shouting for attention but actually sharing ideas.
November 26, 2024 at 10:55 PM
Bluesky is reminding me of why I started building in the first place: for the fun of it.

Not for followers, not for some algorithm, but because I wanted to create.

If you #buildinpublic, what’s something you’ve built that you’re proud of, even if it’s not ‘successful’ yet?

Bluesky is the indie maker’s dream:

- No trolls

- Just enough people to care about your project

- Everyone is super nice and share feedback

Starter Packs make getting started so much easier

When you join other social platforms, it’s frustrating how your feed always feels random and irrelevant at first.

Now, with a pack of awesome accounts to follow, you can have a feed that’s instantly exciting and feels just right for you.

It’s cool

Everyone: Bluesky is amazing! I get tons of likes and real engagement. People actually see my posts.

Me: Unable to get more than 0 likes no matter what I post or how much I reply to others.

What’s happening here on Bluesky is literally history in the making.

Can you see it too?

If you love what you do, you'll find a way to make it work

Got this review on my extension:

‘I love people who go out of their way to improve the world on their own, like the dev with this plugin.’

It’s a beautiful reminder that what we create makes a real difference, even if we don’t notice it.
